Edi.Cer. spa has signed an agreement worth 1.2 million euros with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian Trade Agency ITA to support the initiatives of Cersaie 2021, a contribution that underscores the event’s international scope and the economic opportunities it offers for the region. The funding will give a major boost to an exhibition that is crucially important for the Italian ceramic industry, one of the key sectors of Italian manufacturing.
The largest share of resources will be allocated to organising visitor delegations from Germany, France, the UK, North America, the Gulf states and Scandinavia. A total of 180 architects, distributors and journalists have been invited to the 2021 International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings. And for the first time ever, Cersaie will be welcoming a group of leading players in the Contract and Real Estate sectors, an important segment of the construction industry which from this year onwards will have its own physical space in the Contract Hall.
“The fact that we are able to organise Cersaie as an in-person event once again and offer customers a first-hand view of Italian innovations is crucial for the international competitiveness of our companies,” said Emilio Mussini, vice chairman of Confindustria Ceramica. “It is equally important for the recovery of numerous Italian companies which provide the services, accommodation and hospitality that make the show possible.”
Organised for the ninth consecutive edition in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency ITA, Cersaie Business is seeing ever greater involvement on the part of leading international influencers and specifiers from the design world with the aim of creating networking opportunities between these players and the top Italian ceramic and bathroom furnishing producers exhibiting at the show.
At the heart of the Cersaie Business initiative is the Business Lounge located in the fairground’s Services Centre (First Floor, Block B), which serves as a meeting, info and refreshment point.
As well as taking part in the exhibition, the delegates attending institutional events held during Cersaie will be taken on tours of the Sassuolo ceramic district and visits to major local attractions and the many local examples of Italian excellence.
